IP Office 406 & 412 VC Module - 4/8/16/24/30

The integral Voice Compression Module can be utilized for Voice over IP (VoIP) applications on the 406 & 412 IP Office platforms.

The VCM module are - 4, 8 and 16 & 24 channel variants.

Up to two VCMs can be fitted to the IP412, the 406 platform support only a single VCM.

The Voice compression modules allows connectivity of 2 IP Offices over a WAN using leased line or Frame relay and provides a high level of feature transparency including centralised operator, centralised voicemail and importantly centralised management.

The Voice compression modules are also required if IP Extensions are to be used.

The IP Office 500 – has increased capacity for compression channels – up to 128

There is a base card that goes into the system which is either a 32 or 64 port card which initially has 4 compression channel live. The channels are then increased as required by software licenses. VCM 32 or 64 variant

  • Maximum of 2 x VCM cards supported per chassis
    • Maximum 128 channels per system
  • 4 channels per card enabled by default
  • Additional channels Licensed in 4, 8, 16, 28 and 60 increments
