SYSTEM INSTALLATION
Programming & Planning
As your installation date approaches, a programmer will attend site and meet with you to discuss the configuration of your system, and initial decisions are made regarding the system set-up and how you want everything to work. Timings and arrangements for staff training are also agreed during this meeting.
Physical Installation
Following the programming meeting, our engineers attend site and install the telephone system, in readiness for the swap-over. Components are fully tested, either by plugging in your new lines (ISDN installations) or by using advanced line testing equipment to simulate inbound calls to the system. The programmer then returns with an initial system program, written to your requirements. This is loaded into the system and tested.
All Staff are Trained
Usually prior to swap-over, training then takes place. We provide a trainer who is fully versed in the system and able to train your staff and system administrators to varying levels, depending on their activities. Training takes place with groups of between 4 and 8 people, with each session usually lasting between 1 and 2 hours.
Go Live
With training completed, the system in place, cabling complete, and the program loaded and tested, we are ready for system swap-over. This normally takes place outside office hours, and we aim to have at least the crucial system elements live (Receptionist, voicemail, key staff, main groups, etc), tested and operational before leaving site. We return the following day to complete any non-critical parts of the installation. On most occasions we complete the entire installation during one evening.
Hand-Holding
On the first “live” day, we attend site to ensure that the system is fully operational and that your staff are happy with their new telephones and arrangements. This “hand-holding” session is increased to further days if deemed necessary, at no additional cost. |
